MEAC Tournament: Hampton Hammers Morgan State, 93-70 Tommy Adams scored 21 points as top-seeded Hampton defeated Morgan State 93-70 in the quarterfinals of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference tournament Wednesday. Hampton (24-6) led 40-34 at halftime and extended its lead on 60.6 percent shooting in the second half. The Pirates went on a 20-4 run capped by Isaac Jefferson's basket with 10:30 left to give them a 67-49 lead. Mackel Purvis had eight points during the run. Morgan State (3-25) was led by Reggie Winkfield's 15 points. Randy Dukes scored 13 points for the Bears, who committed 20 turnovers the led to 28 Pirates points.
